What is a statement of works (SOW)?

SOWs are an important tool for ensuring that all parties involved in a project or task have a clear understanding of the scope and expectations of the work to be done.

A Statement of Work (SOW) is a document that outlines the specific requirements, deliverables, and terms of a project or task. It is typically used to define the work that needs to be done as part of a contract or agreement between a client and a service provider.

A SOW typically includes a detailed description of the work to be done, the resources that will be required to complete the work (such as personnel, equipment, and materials), and the timeline for completing the work. It may also include information on the deliverables that the service provider will provide to the client, as well as any performance standards or quality assurance measures that will be in place.

SOWs are commonly used in a variety of industries, including construction, consulting, and professional services. They are an important tool for ensuring that all parties involved in a project or task have a clear understanding of the scope and expectations of the work to be done.
