Practical exercise: attendees work on a copywriting project they have already written of between 750-1000 words. You also need to list 5-7 companies that are competing against their business, or hypothetically against the subject matter.

Course preparation

 

Ahead of the course, attendees must submit a piece of copy they want to use as a blog post. They should also have an understanding of the audience they want to engage with through their copy. If you are:

  • Writing for your own business or your company, then you must submit your article and your top 5-7 competitors.
  • a creative writer or copywriter then you must know the competitors of your customer.
  • writing a hypothetical piece then you need to know who you are writing it for and who their competitors are.
